Well done to everyone who competed in this year's Airgun National Championships! Thank you to Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club, who graciously hosted two intense days of shooting last weekend.
The Air Pistol Championship took place last Saturday 5th October, where Ray Kane (WTSC) took the gold and became the Air Pistol National Champion in a very hard-fought final. Eamonn Clarke (WTSC) and David Keane (WTSC) completed an all-Wilkinstown podium, winning the silver and bronze medals respectively.
Ruby Collins (WTSC) retained her title as Junior Air Pistol National Champion, with Harry Leonard (IPC) and Eoin Gillic (WTSC) completing the Junior podium.
Wilkinstown Target Shooting Club retained their title as Air Pistol Team of Three champions, after their podium lock-out.
Returning to Wilkinstown the following morning, the 6th October was a day dedicated to Air Rifle. A spectacularly tense final saw Ray Kane (WTSC) earn his title as Air Rifle National Champion, becoming the first to win both Championships in one year!
